By road

from the south

From Glasgow, Edinburgh or Perth, head for the A82 and Crianlarich.  Follow the A82 north to Glencoe.  When you reach Glencoe Village, turn right onto the B863 road to Kinlochleven and Caolasnacon is situated 3 miles along that road on the left.

From the north head for the A82 and Fort William. Follow the A82 south, over the Ballachulish Bridge, straight through the roundabout to Glencoe.  When you reach Glencoe Village, turn left onto the B863 road to Kinlochleven and Caolasnacon is situated 3 miles along that road on the left.


By Bus

Scottish Citylink operates buses that travel through Glencoe on a daily basis from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness.  A local bus that passes Caolasnacon can then be picked up at Glencoe Village.

By Rail

The nearest railway station to Caolasnacon is Fort William.  There are regular buses leaving the train station to Kinlochleven which will drop you off at Caolasnacon.


By Taxi

A taxi can be arranged to pick you up from any of the major airports, train station, bus station or from Glencoe Village.  Please request by telephone or email and we will do our best to arrange this for you.

There are several local taxi firms if you require one during your stay at Caolasnacon – please ask at the site office for numbers.

Excellent site with some of the best views I have ever had from a campsite. Friendly, extremely helpful staff, good facilities, and plenty of them, and within just a few minutes’ drive of Glen Coe.
