About Us
As proprietors of Caolasnacon for over 30 years, we feel we still offer the free spirit of camping that our regular visitors have came to appreciate.
Our Caravan and Camping Site
We are AA recommended and CCGBI approved. We have 18 static caravans and 50 touring pitches, and 30 with electric hook ups. Calor and Camping Gas is available to purchase on site. We have a laundrette, dish washing area and free shower facilities.
Our site also has two Midge Magnet Machines to keep away the Highland Midgies!
Family Welcome
We pride ourselves in welcoming families as Caolasnacon is an ideal base for visiting tourist attractions in the Scottish Highlands.
Shop Facilities
Caolasnacon does not have a shop but it is situated between the villages of Kinlochleven and Glencoe, each approximately 3 miles from Caolasnacon.
The Area
Loch Leven lends itself superbly to boating, fishing and water-sports. The shingle beach makes launching your own boat a simple task. The loch stretches from Kinlochleven to Glencoe with mountains of grandeur on both sides, at times reflecting on a sea of glass. For those who would rather keep their feet on the ground Caolasnacon is a superb centre for climbing or hill-walking. Wildlife abounds in the vicinity and the owners are particularly proud of the resident Golden Eagles.
